...to our on-line Bible study as a service of Mountain View Baptist Church. Our desire is that you come to know the Lord in a wonderful way and experience the peace that a right relationship brings. God is our friend and we must learn to draw closer to him. These Bible studies are designed with that in mind. Simply read the materials in the body of the lesson, then proceed to the Path Finder portion, do the assigned reading, and answer the questions. You may email us with your answers. We will go over them and send them back with our suggestions and other materials that might help. We look forward to assisting you in your spiritual growth and knowledge of our Lord.

The Book of Daniel

Join us in our study of the Book of Daniel. A book that takes you from the past and far into the future. This book is not only a study into prophesy but a great study into the power of God, His power over the nations of the world, and the strength one person can have when they are totally separated to the Lord. Lesson One...Introduction and Chapter One

The introduction gives the historical, secular, and Biblical background to the book. Chapter One is an introduction to the life and character of Daniel. He had conviction, purpose, and inner strength. God had prepared him for such a time as this.

Lesson Two...Nebuchadnezzar's Dream

The great king dreams a dream and it leaves him. The challenges that follow and Daniel's interpretation of his dream chart the course of history past even our time today. (download lesson)

Lesson Three...Character

In Daniel three we see the pride and arrogance of king Nebchadnezzar; the faith, strength, and character of the three Jewish young men; and our sovereign God that walks through the fires of life.  (download lesson)

In Daniel five we see what pride, power, and false self security can do to a man and a nation. We have an all powerful God that rules the powers of the world and rights the wrongs of man through discipline and his direction.  (download lesson)

Lesson Six...Daniel in the Lion's Den

Here the envy of the officers, the vanity of the King, collide to test God’s man in the den of lions. Daniel’s faith stops the lions mouth and Daniel’s God is glorified through him to a lost world.  (download lesson)

Lesson Seven...Daniel's Visions

Chapters 7 and 8 are two visions that Daniel had that show the four major world powers before Jesus Christ comes back to set up his kingdom. Each nation is portrayed by different types that describe those nations power and character.  (download lesson)

Lesson Eight...Daniel's Prohecy: Part 1

Daniel 9 is the prophecy of Daniel's 70 weeks. This chapter has the prayer of Daniel that leads to the prophecy. The prophecy told exactly when Messiah would come the first time and what will happen to Israel in the end time.  (download lesson)

Lesson Ten...Preparation for Daniel's Final Vision

Daniel chapter 11 is one of the most complex and fascinating prophecies in the entire Bible. It covers three of the worlds world powers in such a complex order that proves not only the power of God, but the truth of the Bible. Lesson Twelve...The Lord's Return

This chapter tells of the time of the Great Tribulation and how things will be when the Lord returns. This is a Jewish picture for the church will be in glory. Daniel is a great illustration of how God used a man totally sold out to him and led by His Holy Spirit. (download lesson)
